JOE GIUDICE TAKES A JAB AT ANTONIA GORGA
Today is a new day, and Joe Giudice is making me eat every word I wrote about him yesterday. This blog is always about offering commentary on my thoughts in the moment, as things happen in semi-real time. Little did I know, when I wrote my last blog, that Joe Giudice would be enlisted to do a round of interviews for Teresa’s camp. Everything I said less than 24 hours ago is now null and void. Joe Giudice went way too far, and we need to talk about it.
Now it makes sense why Teresa’s podcast interview was full of abrupt edits, awkward cuts, and kept as short as a toddler’s attention span. Joe probably said a lot of nasty things, but true to Teresa’s form, she doesn’t want it to look like she’s trashing her only brother and sister-in-law. Oh no, she’ll keep her hands squeaky clean and let Joe Giudice run wild on other podcasts hosted by her support squad to unleash the dirt and fling around some “alternative truths.” Teresa has always been the queen of throwing rocks and hiding her hands.
Of course, it was her idea for Joe to go on the cousin’s podcast. By his own admission, Teresa called him up and said one of the cousins wanted him on the show. Joe remembered her from her blogging days as Teresa’s loyal supporter and fixer, so naturally, he jumped at the chance.
This time, the interview was nearly two hours long, and Joe said some pretty mean, downright low things—even for him. The worst? He took a shot at Antonia Gorga, saying she’s turned out to be a beautiful girl but hoping she doesn’t “turn out like her mother.” Really, Joe? This is your goddaughter you’re talking about! That was a low blow even for you. And doesn’t this comment sound eerily familiar? Teresa was once accused of calling Antonia “ugly.” She’s denied it profusely, but after hearing this, I’m not so sure anymore.
Remember when kids were supposed to be off-limits? For the record, Antonia is a stunning young woman who somehow manages to look like both Joe and Melissa at the same time. More importantly, Antonia and her siblings are a reflection of their parents.
Seems to me Melissa has taught her kids a thing or two - Including respect.
Joe Giudice had nothing kind to say about anyone and brought up things that have absolutely nothing to do with the show. I sat through all two hours of that interview so you wouldn’t have to. Joe isn’t exactly a wordsmith. In this interview, his commentary mostly consisted of calling people idiots, scumbags, and morons. He claimed Joe Gorga never had money, borrowed from their parents, and never paid it back. Now, I don’t know about you, but isn’t this the pot calling the kettle black? Didn’t Joe Giudice also borrow money from his father to pay off an ex-partner?
And let’s not forget all that restitution and back taxes Teresa had to pay and still has to pay? Glass houses, Joe Giudice. Glass houses.
He even accused the Gorgas of leaving their kids behind for Teresa’s parents to babysit while they went on trips. First of all, even if that was true, what’s so bad about grandparents spending time with their grandkids? Second, something tells me Joe pulled that right out of his ass because Melissa has enough family to help out without needing favors that come with conditions and judgement.
As viewers, we know there were bumps in Joe Gorga’s relationship with his parents and who could forget the moment at Gia’s gymnastics competition when his mom handed him his mail and a rosary for Antonia in a parking lot? Joe insisted for his mother to give it to Antonia in person, but she declined. That moment was real, unresolved, and sad to watch.
Caroline Manzo once said she witnessed Teresa poisoning her mother’s mind against Joe and Melissa, and Jacqueline Laurita backed it up with a Twitter storm. Even in Lake George, after the infamous Joe vs. Joe brawl, Richie Wakile told Caroline that Teresa’s parents had sided with her, leaving Joe Gorga with no one in his corner. Teresa had her parents’ ear, no doubt about it. As the firstborn daughter, she likely took on responsibilities young, which earned her their trust. But why use that bond to pit family members against each other?
For someone who preaches “family, family, family,” Teresa has always done everything in her power to keep her brother and sister-in-law from filming with her. Meanwhile, Melissa introduced us to her entire family—sisters, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles—from day one.
Think about it: we didn’t really know Teresa had a brother until season 3, when the Gorgas joined the show—although Joe Gorga did make a brief voice cameo in season two when he called Teresa at the hospital while she was giving birth to Audriana.
Danielle Staub spilled tea recently, admitting Teresa used to bring her to family functions because she didn’t want to go alone. Danielle said Teresa warned her not to speak to her family at these events and confided in her how much she disliked them. So now we know where Danielle got all that commentary to throw back at Teresa at the reunion season two — Teresa had already shared with Danielle her disdain towards her family. So when Melissa said Danielle knew and had seen the tension between them, Melissa was telling the truth.
And let’s not even start with the “Melissa copied Teresa” narrative. Newsflash: Teresa has copied Melissa, too. The dress Teresa wore at her housewarming party? Salsa lessons on camera? Melissa did it first; we just didn’t know because she didn’t have a platform yet.
As for the mysterious audition tape everyone swears exists? Let’s be real—if people can hack into anything these days, why has no one managed to get their hands on this tape? Until someone actually produces it, I’m calling it what it is: another fairy tale from Teresa desperate camp.
Here’s the truth: Teresa still holds a lot of power over Joe Giudice. He’ll do whatever she asks, probably because he feels indebted to her for leaving her alone in America swimming in debts. Just ask Richie Wakile, who wasn’t allowed to stay at Joe’s house in the Bahamas for more than a day because Teresa blew up Joe’s phone, calling Richie a “scumbag” and demanding he leave. If Joe Giudice felt pressured by Teresa to distance himself from Ritchie, it’s not hard to imagine the kind of treatment the Gorgas must have endured and why a relationship with the Wakiles was no longer possible.
Joe Giudice, once celebrated for his no-nonsense attitude and sharp humor, came across as bitter in that interview—stuck and stewing in his own “juicy” resentment. Not a good look, Joe—not at all.
