Jersey Mike’s Fallout: Jennifer Aydin vs. Kim D – Trouble in the Friendship?
It’s been a rough few weeks for Jennifer Aydin. Following the infamous Jersey Mike’s video, the backlash has been relentless. From fans voicing their outrage to Jersey Mike’s employees airing her out on social media (with one senior employee’s daughter even chiming in), it’s been a PR nightmare for the self-proclaimed RHONJ “celebrity.” To top it off, Bravolebs couldn’t resist adding their two cents, and even Andy Cohen weighed in on his radio show—with zero sympathy for Jennifer’s latest misstep. Yikes
In a recent interview, Jennifer revealed that her husband, Bill Aydin, begged her not to post the video in the first place. She admitted, in hindsight, that maybe she should have listened to him - After all, it probably doesn’t reflect well on his practice to have a wife who’s constantly ready to fly off the handle and embarrass herself—and him—in the process. As Dolores Catania so eloquently put it, “The poor man has to go home with her.”
Ouch!!!
But wait—there’s more! Another voice has entered the chat, and it’s none other than Kim D. Kim D has recently been making appearances with Jennifer, Dolores, and Teresa on a string of podcast interviews. On the surface, it seemed like Jennifer and Kim had struck up a fast friendship, but rumor has it that the friendship might already be hitting a rough patch. And yes, we’ve got the tea.
Apparently, Kim D did a Patreon live, during which her fans asked for her thoughts on the Jersey Mike’s debacle. Now, I don’t have the verbatim transcript of Kim’s comments, but someone—clearly a double agent—attended the live, soaked it all in, and then ran straight to the Paramus Headquarters with the scoop. Whatever Kim said must have struck a nerve, because not long after the live ended, Jennifer—who, by the way, was a subscriber to Kim’s podcast—unsubscribed and fired off an unimpressed text message to Kim.
What was in the text? Your guess is as good as mine, but it’s not hard to imagine Jennifer being offended that Kim didn’t jump to her defense. After all, Jen seems to expect blind loyalty, even when she’s clearly in the wrong (which, let’s face it, is most of the time). Perhaps Jennifer thought their budding friendship meant Kim would stay silent no matter what.
Jennifer may have wanted Kim D to hush, but we’re all glad she gave her honest touch.
